Since 2007, athletes presented with the Mountain Kidd Award have portrayed a love of the mountains and the mountain lifestyle. Athletes presented with this award have a deep passion and love for skiing—all skiing. Whether on the groomers, in the bumps, exploring the backcountry, or racing the gates, these athletes show up in all conditions whether it’s sunny, freezing, raining, windy or (of course) dumping snow!

These athletes also display a deep connection with the mountains, and all the adventures they invite. SVSEF Alpine Mountain Kids live and play with the spirit of the mountains as fuel for their adventures.

Award recipients’ names are burned into the one-of-a-kind Mountain Kidd perpetual trophy, which is displayed in the SVSEF Training Center at Warm Springs.
