2023 will be the 45th year of suffering at the infamous Baldy Hill Climb, hosted by SVSEF! What are you in for? 1.8 miles and 2,045 vertical from River Run to Roundhouse.

Registration
Registration is now open for the 2023 Baldy Hill Climb. Registration closes Thursday, September 28 at 11:59pm. No Race Day registration.
17 & Under = $30
18 & Over = $40
All participants receive an event t-shirt, a refuel at the summit aid station, and a ride back down to the base of River Run on the gondola.
Kinder Climb
Kinderclimb is an event for kiddos 8-ish years old and younger.
The Kinderclimb starts at 8:30 a.m.
No advance sign up is required and it’s FREE!
Kiddos will conquer their own short course of about 200 yards up lower river. (7-12 minutes).
Location
New in 2023, the course will move from Warm Springs to the River Run side of Bald Mountain due to the ongoing new chairlift construction.
This year’s course will challenge participants to a grueling 1.8 miles and 2,045 vertical feet—from the bottom of River Run, straight up Lower River Run through mid-River Run, and across Roundhouse Lane to the Roundhouse, which sits at 7,700 feet.

Refund Policy
In the event of a cancellation of the Baldy Hill Climb due to unfavorable environmental conditions; there is no refund of the participant entry fee. The Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation incurs significant costs in advance of the race and as a non-profit cannot incur financial loss associated with the event. In the event of cancellation, participants registered for the 2023 event will be extended a reduced entry fee of $25.00 for the 2024 Baldy Hill Climb.
