Since 2001, the Mini World Cup Trophy has been presented to the male and female overall winners of the U10 Mini World Cup race series.

At the time, Pat Savaria, Alpine Director, and Rob Webb, Head C Team Coach, came up with the idea of a race series because the C Team (which encompassed 4 years of age groups at the time) had grown so much. They felt there was a need to split the C Team into a travel team (which is now the North Series Team) and home team (which is now the Mini WC Team).

The C-Travel team, then called J4’s, would travel to the IMD North Series race circuit; and the C-Home team, then called J5’s, would stay home to compete in this “Mini World Cup” race series. The idea was adopted from Mt. Bachelor, Oregon’s alpine ski team and would include four events—Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super G, and Downhill.

Award recipients’ names are engraved on the Mini World Cup Trophy, which is displayed in the SVSEF Training Center at Warm Springs.
