Cross Country Striders
Striders is a learn-to-ski program designed for youth in elementary school grades 1st through 5th.
No prior experience is required to join. Striders is a learn-to-cross-country-ski program for South Valley elementary age skiers, grades 1 through 5. This is a great opportunity for young skiers to learn the basics of ski sport. The Striders program runs for five weeks, from mid January through mid February.
Transportation: SVSEF will be providing after school transport from Bellevue ES, Alturas ES, Syringa School, and Hailey ES to Croy Nordic Ski Center.
Schedule: Ten sessions are held at Croy Nordic, Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00-4:30 p.m., beginning Monday, January 22 and ending Wednesday, February 21.
Location: Skiers will utilize the SVSEF Croy Team Modular for daily meeting and gear storage.
All Striders athletes will be outfitted with ski equipment for the duration of the program. The coaching staff is always available to answer and problem-solve equipment questions for participants. Children should wear ski appropriate clothing.
$150 (includes coaching, transport, equipment)
A USSA license ($15) is required on top of the tuition fee.
The coach-to-athlete ratio for Striders is one to ten. All staff are USSA-certified coaches.
