Overview
The Cross Country Summer Training Group is designed for high-level U23 skiers seeking a focused summer training environment. Athletes must be enrolled in an NCAA collegiate or club ski program in order to participate. Operated in conjunction with the Post-Grad program, the Summer Training Group provides 5–7 structured training sessions per week throughout the summer months. Programming is intentionally designed with flexibility to accommodate part-time work, summer school, or other academic commitments.
Every session is built around a long-term development philosophy — considering every system with one overarching goal: helping athletes move faster on skis. Summer training also provides an important opportunity to address individual weaknesses and make meaningful gains outside of the collegiate racing season. Often, the biggest improvements happen when athletes can settle into a consistent environment, establish rhythm in their training, and maintain a steady progression over time. The Summer Training Group is designed to support exactly that process.
The work is demanding, but the rewards can be significant for athletes willing to fully commit to the program.
Program cost includes coaching, individualized training planning, physiological testing, facility access, and transportation during training sessions.
For additional information, interested athletes should contact Coach Peter Holmes at [email protected] before enrolling.
The application period for STG 2026 closed on May 1.

Most weekly training will follow this format. More detailed team plans come out weekly. Individual training design is provided in one on one meetings with the head coach.
