Olive Gilbert, 13, Snowboard Travel

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_testimonial author=”Rick Millett” job_title=”Snowboard Travel Coach” portrait_url=”” _builder_version=”3.3.1″]Congratulations to Olive on Athlete of the Week. She has been progressing quite a bit with her riding. Olive has had a couple of really great competition results and has been learning more tricks and riding skills; I am very excited to take her to Copper Mountain, Colorado, for USASA Nationals! Olive is really fun to travel with, and she is always down for an adventure. Her curiosity and eagerness to grow and learn in this sport have been great to see. Keep up the good work, Olive! [/et_pb_testimonial][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”3.3.1″ parallax=”off” parallax_method=”on”][et_pb_image src=”” _builder_version=”3.3.1″][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=”3.3.1″][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”3.3.1″ parallax=”off” parallax_method=”on”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.3.1″]

She overcame her fears from the first weekend, skiing all over Baldy. She is a good teammate and brings a great smile daily. We are grateful to have her on team and we are excited to watch her grow.[/et_pb_testimonial][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”3.3.1″ parallax=”off” parallax_method=”on”][et_pb_image src=”” align=”center” _builder_version=”3.3.1″][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=”3.3.1″][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”3.3.1″ parallax=”off” parallax_method=”on”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.3.1″]

Brian Heekin, 16, Big Mountain

Our Athlete of the Week is Brian Heekin. He really surprised me at Targhee. He has kind of been our dark horse this year – he’s never really been the hard charger of the group, but he ended up having the highest place out of whole SVSEF crew this weekend, finishing seventh. Brian has been working really hard, and with all this soft snow he has really been pushing himself; it showed this past weekend in competition.
