Welcome to the Janss Pro-Am Classic
Bill Janss’ lasting legacy and one of his biggest gifts to the Wood River Valley is one of vision. His ability to see far into the future and realize the impact of certain decisions, paired with a principled vision of what constitutes a healthy community have had far-reaching effects. Important to Bill was the youth of the community and that every child had the chance to learn to ski, knowing that the opportunity would serve them well into their futures with positive attitudes, confidence, and a desire to achieve.
Celebrating our 25th Janss Pro-Am this year is due to the stalwart support of participants, partners, pros, sponsors and volunteers since 1998. Thanks to the efforts of many, we are still honoring the memory of Bill Janss and instilling his legacy and love for the sport of skiing into the lives of young people through our world-class coaching, facilities and, of course, the wonderful mountains and valley we inhabit.
SVSEF provides ski and snowboard training and competitive opportunities for more than 850 student-athletes each season, with over $500,000 in financial aid provided to deserving kids and families across our programs this past winter. Your support of the Janss Pro-Am is instrumental in our ability to help keep snowsport accessible to the youth of the Wood River Valley.
SVSEF is proud to host the Janss Pro-Am Classic in Bill’s honor, and we are so glad you are able to join us and celebrate Bill’s spirit.

Taking inspiration from the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the endurance-focused sports car race held annually near the town of Le Mans, France, this year’s theme is the “25 Hours of Le Janss!”
The 24 Hours of Le Mans is won by the car that covers the greatest distance in 24 hours. Racing teams must balance the demands of speed with the cars’ ability to run for 24 hours without mechanical failure.
The Janss Pro-Am Classic is an endurance event in its own right. Over the course of three days, we’ll gather together in total for an estimated 25 hours.
Ladies and gentlemen… start your engines!
It’s time to assemble your race crew, your pit crew, your best party on snow crew! Think Formula 1, NASCAR, IndyCar, Rallycross, Dragster—it’s your call on how you want to GO FAST and HAVE FUN!
