ATTENTION FOREIGN COMPETITORS WITHOUT AN ACTIVE FIS LICENSE

In compliance with newly enacted USSA Safesport regulations, foreign competitors without an active FIS license are required to complete a USSA event membership that will include Safesport training and a background check, IF THE SKIER IS TURNING 18 DURING THIS COMPETITIVE SEASON. 

SKIERS WITHOUT A FIS LICENSE WHO DO NOT TURN 18 DURING THIS SEASON are not required to complete Safesport training and background check, but are required to purchase a temporary event membership.

Welcome Skiers!

The Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation is pleased to conduct the opening event of the US Super Tour.  Below is event information needed for competitors, coaches and spectators. We are looking forward to a great weekend of racing!

REGISTRATION

Note that all competitors must have either a current USSA or FIS license.

Race Fees:   

Super Tour 1-day entry fee: $45

2-day race entry fee: $80

U16/U14  1-day race entry fee: $35

2-day race entry fee: $60

Late entry fee: $10 per race

RACE VENUE

Competitions will be held at the Lake Creek Ski Trails, which offer a challenging array of FIS Homologated race courses. The venue is located 2.5 miles north of Ketchum, Idaho on Idaho State Highway 75. The SVSEF Nordic Team Center is located adjacent to the ski area parking lot and provides skiers a heated lodge with bathrooms. The race stadium is located .5 kilometers from the parking lot. Gear shuttles will be provided throughout the race weekend . The stadium is located at 6,000 feet above sea level. Cell service is available on the race trails. In the event of inadequate snow conditions at Lake Creek, the backup venue is Galena Lodge located 20 miles north of  Ketchum.

Late registration Period Open to Friday 12/13 NOON

 

Thursday 12/12 – Friday 12/13                     

9am-3pm Official Training at Lake Creek. Entry includes trail fee

9am-1pm  Race Secretary Office Open at Lake Creek

 

Friday 12/13                                                     

5pm  Team Leaders Meeting, Lake Creek Ski Center

 

Saturday 12/14                                               

10am  Individual Classic Sprint  Men then Women

 

Sunday 12/15                                                   

10am  Individual Distance Freestyle

Women’s 10km; Men’s 15km

Followed by:

Mass Start Distance Freestyle

Jr Boys 5k, Jr Girls 5km, U14 Boys 3km, U14 Girls 3km

VENUE PARKING & SHUTTLES 

Parking at the Lake Creek Venue will be restricted to Race Officials and Team Vehicles with a PARKING PASS. All other team vehicles and spectators will need to use the SHUTTLE SYSTEM. The Shuttle lot is located .5 miles south of  the Lake Creek venue and shuttles will be running every 10 minutes through the competition days.

Team gear shuttles will be run from 2.5 hours prior to the first start to provide transport of gear from the parking area to the stadium and again upon conclusion.
