Overview
The Mini Shred program is designed for riders who are ready to build on and refine the fundamental skills learned in programs such as the South Valley Shredders and Snowboard Devo, or PSIA/AASI Level 5 or above instructional programs. This program focuses on becoming more dynamic and well-rounded riders by utilizing a variety of terrain options such as the park, gates, boardercross racing and off-piste freeriding.
The Mini Shred program is where riders get to explore all the facets of snowboarding in depth. Whether it’s trying new tricks on park features, learning to carve a better turn around gates or applying those skills together to bring their unique style into more technical freeriding terrain. Some riders in this program will be encouraged to participate in local competitions, in varied disciplines, to gain experience in all aspects of snowboarding.
In addition to the weekend riding former Snowboard Devo riders would be accustomed to, Mini Shred team riders regularly snowboard on Friday afternoons followed by weekly airbarn sessions. Mini Shred riders also participate in fall dryland sessions beginning in October.
This is the team you want to be on if you’ve got the basics, but your curiosity for snowboarding is insatiable. Mini Shred, big dreams.
