Overview

This team will focus on improving all aspects of snowboarding including; Slopestyle, Halfpipe, Rails, Boardercross, Slalom and Giant Slalom.  While riders on this team will begin to “specialize” their competitive riding, we will strive to develop well rounded riders who excel in all facets of snowboarding beyond their competitive years.

Our coaching staff will work with the Futures team riders to continue to develop their skills in preparation for competitions and events, both locally and nationally. This will start during fall dryland where athletes have access to our Air Barn facility and strength training. Air Barn sessions will continue through the winter. On-snow training will utilize the different venues the Wood River Valley and southern Idaho have to offer (Baldy/Dollar/Rotarun/Soldier Mountain).

This team’s competitive focus will be on regional USASA contests trying to qualify for the USASA Nationals at the end of the season.  Opportunities to compete in USASA Futures events and USSA Rev Tour events will be available for qualified athletes.  Riders on this team will also be encouraged to compete in non sanctioned events such as the Baldy Banked Slalom, Grand Targhee Surf Classic, or the Bomb Hole Cup.
