Baldy Hill Climb
2024 will be the 46th year of suffering at the infamous Baldy Hill Climb, hosted by the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation Cross Country Teams!

Registration
Registration will open for the 2024 Baldy Hill Climb at RunSignUp.com on July 30. Registration closes Thursday, September 26 at 11:59pm. No Race Day registration.
17 & Under = $30
18 & Over = $40
All run, hike, and race participants receive an event t-shirt, a refuel at the summit aid station, and a ride back down to the base of Warm Springs on the Challenger Lift.
Organized by the SVSEF Cross Country Ski Teams, the course challenges participants to a grueling 1.86 miles and 3,140 vertical feet—straight up from the bottom of Warm Springs to the summit of Bald Mountain at 9,020 feet. All participants receive a collectible event t-shirt and a refuel at the summit aid station. In addition, and in partnership with Sun Valley Company, participants receive a much-deserved ride down on the Challenger Lift after they finish.
*In the event of poor air quality on race morning (above 100), the event will be cancelled. Final decision will be called by the race organizers by 8:00 a.m. race morning and notice will be posted here on svsef.org and emailed to registrants’ email addresses provided during registration at RunSignUp.com. AQI level will be sourced from airnow.gov.

Kinder Climb
Kinderclimb is an event for kiddos 8-ish years old and younger.
The Kinderclimb starts at 8:30 a.m.
No advance sign up is required and it’s FREE!
Kiddos will conquer their own short course of about 200 yards up Bald Mountain. (7-12 minutes).

IMPORTANT PARKING/SHUTTLE INFORMATION:
The Warm Springs and Upper Greyhawk lots will be closed due to construction.
Participants are encouraged to please carpool or utilize Mountain Rides from the YMCA. The Mountain Rides Blue Line departs every 30 minutes from the YMCA, with the first bus departing at 7:53 a.m. and arriving at the base of Warm Springs at 7:58 a.m. Please visit Mountain Rides Blue Line Schedule for any updates.
There is limited parking along the adjacent neighborhood streets. Please do not park in any areas marked with “No Parking” signs.

Refund Policy
In the event of a cancellation of the Baldy Hill Climb due to unfavorable environmental conditions; there is no refund of the participant entry fee. The Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation incurs significant costs in advance of the race and as a non-profit cannot incur financial loss associated with the event. In the event of cancellation, participants registered for the 2024 event will be extended a reduced entry fee of $25.00 for the 2025 Baldy Hill Climb.
