Team Mini X

The program covers a broad spectrum of teaching modalities, ranging from fundamental skiing technique, to freestyle/mogul fundamentals, freeski/terrain park skills, alpine racing, and big mountain line selection and mountain awareness. “Ski it all” is the Mini X motto.

Fall Dryland

  • One day a week, times TBD

    • Fall dryland opportunities will include a mix of Air Barn sessions, rollerblading, field games, agility and hiking. Dryland sessions at the Air Barn at the Sagewillow complex unless specifically stated in weekly communication from the Head Coach. 

** Rollerblades are recommended for Mini X athletes.

Winter Training Times:

Friday 2:15-4:15pm
Saturday/Sunday: 12:30-3:30 pm

The Mini X team is a Friday, Saturday, Sunday skiing program. During the winter season, the Mini X team will continue to offer Air Barn training opportunities starting in December. The team trains at multiple venues, including Air Barn, Dollar Mountain, Bald Mountain and Rotarun.

Calendar:

Previous SVSEF involvement and/or ability to ski all terrain on Bald Mountain

License Requirements: US Ski and Snowboard general membership ($30)

Mini Xtreme introduces athletes and families to competition through an in-house event series called the Mini Xtreme (MiniX) Cup. The MiniX Cup consists of 4 primary events:

  • Freestyle/mogul event
  • Freeski/slopestyle event
  • Big mountain event
  • Alpine Race opportunities

These events serve as an opportunity to highlight the lessons and skills learned throughout the Mini Xtreme curriculum, and are supported by the SVSEF parent programs.
