Charlie Dunn – 2016/17

Charlie has been involved with the SVSEF for over ten years as a parent, and for the past three as a board member. Originally from British Columbia, he was raised in the Pacific Northwest and moved to the valley full time with his family in 2002. He has been involved  in the consumer electronics industry for over 25 years and currently works with a company providing products for the education field. With his family he owns and manages a thoroughbred breeding and training facility in Washington. Charlie has two children that have grown up here – one former and one current SVSEF athlete. He got involved at the board level because he feels that the SVSEF is one of the most important organizations in our community. With over five hundred athletes across all disciplines, it’s important that we provide the opportunity for any child in the valley to experience snow sports as well as provide a path to achieve their highest goals possible.

kelly-allisonKelly Allison – 2016/17

Kelly is as local as it gets – she was born and raised in Sun Valley and is an alumna of both SVSEF and the Community School. She received her B.A. in business and Spanish from the University of Idaho. Kelly is the daughter of Jack Simpson, who started the junior racing program in the early 60s, and she coached the Alpine Devo Team under Doran Key for two years. She is married to Glen Allison, with whom she has two daughters: Josie, who is a former alpine team racer, and Laine, who is currently on the cross country team. Kelly is currently the Co-Race Director of the Boulder Mountain Tour, Treasurer for the Community School Parents Association, on the SVSEF board for her fourth year, and a Masters cross country ski racer.

David Wilson has been the sole owner of Wilson Construction, LLC since 1977. With his residential and commercial construction company, he builds and develops all types of housing and commercial projects. Prior to owning his own company, Mr. Wilson was a supervisory criminal investigator at the U.S. Department of Justice, from 1969-1977. His professional affiliations have included the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, where he was the public interest director of the Home Loan Bank Board in 2015, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle from 2007-2014, the Idaho Housing Finance Association from 2005-2015, the National Association of Home Builders from 2002-2005, the National Housing Endowment in 2007 and the Building Industry Disaster Relief Fund in 2009. Additionally, Mr. Wilson was president of the Idaho Building Contractors Association in 1994, and president of the Building Contractors Association of the Wood River Valley in 1989. From 1989-1991 he was a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission for the Sun Valley City Government, and from 1991-1999 he was a city councilman (and president of the council in 1997 and 1998). From 1999-2004, Mr. Wilson was mayor of Sun Valley. He received a degree in business administration in 1968 from California State University, Los Angeles.
