SVSEF Alumnus Chase Josey named to 2018-19 U.S. Snowboard Team
Hailey native and SVSEF snowboard alum Chase Josey has been named to the 2018-19 U.S. Snowboard Team for halfpipe. Following a win at the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix at Mammoth on January 20, 2018, Chase was selected to represent the U.S. at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. The 23 year old athlete finished sixth overall in the Olympic halpipe finals; he was the third American finisher. A rider known for his composure and an impressive command of a wide array of tricks, Chase will be one to watch this season. He is already ramping up training, putting in time at Mammoth. Chase heads to Argentina in August to ride the backcountry as a Guide Intern for SASS Global Travel. You can follow along with his travels here.
